Our Origin Story
It all started during Covid, January 2021.
Joyce’s makeup business took a huge hit - live events were cancelled. For the first time in her life, she barely had any income for almost a year.
To help improve her business, she thought of including headshot photography to expand her range of services. So she took up a portrait photography course, hoping it could open up more opportunities.
She also got Eddie to guide her during her practice sessions, as he was already experienced in working with cameras and lighting from creating dance video content for his own social media.
She got a few friends to model for her, thinking the course and a bit of practice would help her get started.
That was when Joyce realised there was a lot more to photography than she was ready for.
She was doing everything—hair, makeup, shifting heavy furniture in the small studio space, figuring out lighting, directing the shoot, and editing the photos. It was overwhelming.
Seeing how stressed and tired Joyce looked when she came home from work one day, Eddie, out of love, decided to help her in this new venture.
That was when Terra Headshots was born.

Eddie Lim
Eddie Lim has been in the creative industry for over 14 years, where he has been working with clients including Mcdonalds, Paramount, MTV, Samsung, DBS Bank, MCI Singapore, Mastercard, Lazada, Carousell just to name a few. Hence, his attention to details and working with people is an important skillset as a photographer.
He is also a former dancer/dance coach with almost 20 years of experience directing dancers and teams. Hence knowing what looks good and how to look good in front of the camera is a skill that he is very good at.
Also being a firm believer that everyone is unique. As a leader and a director, he focuses on bringing out the best in people, empowering them by teaching them life-long skills that they can use.“Why fit in when you are born to stand out.”

Joyce Yeo
One of the Top 5 Wedding Makeup Artists in Singapore, Joyce left her corporate job in 2014 to pursue her passion in makeup and hairstyling. Since then, she has been engaged in diverse projects such as corporate shoots to MediaCorp shows to local short films.
Trained locally and overseas, she has garnered rave reviews for her versatility in both soft, natural makeup styles and striking runway-style bold looks for local brides. She has since been featured in sites such as Daily Vanity, Singapore Brides, The Best Singapore and more.
Her mission is to “Uncover the Best Version of Yourself” for her clients, as she believes that everyone has the potential to look and feel like a star. Joyce has also been invited as a speaker for HER Global Innovation Festival 2020 and volunteers in Image Mission to teach makeup for under-privileged female jobseekers.
